Changing the fuse fixed the problem. You must be able to get it stopped on the side of the road and shut the car off and then restart it to correct the problem for a short period of time. Is there anyone else that has had this problem. all problems of the 2006 Ford Five Hundred
Isn't Ford a big enough company to take care of this instead of ignoring it? I always have to be extra careful. Have run code in my car and only code is p0193 fuel rail pressure sensor. A service station diagnosed the problem and found an electrical short in a computer module which controls the radiator fan. The vehicle had random acceleration while at full stopped. I dont feel safe driving my car I put 2000 dollars of work and still do not feel save. There was bumper to bumper traffic on a hot day. The VIN was unavailable. I called Ford to let them know that this has happened 4 times now and it is a MAJOR safety issue! I am very good to my car so now what. Since that time I'd disconnected the battery on a suggestion of a mechanic friend and all the issues disappeared for a few weeks. My wife, son and I were driving. I can't afford repairs or a new car. I restarted the engine and 'limped' homein second gear.
